Neurology is the branch of medicine dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases or disorders of the nervous system, including the brain and spinal cord.

As a regional neuroscience centre, we bring together expertise across the range of neurological conditions.

Our specialist coma unit is one of the best in the country.

 

Visiting Patients

General visiting hours are from 10am-9pm. Allowances can be made in special circumstances, please speak to the ward’s matron for further information.

At St Bede’s we take the hygiene of hands incredibly seriously. You will be greeted by our hand cleaner Paul at reception and you will not be allowed to enter or exit the hospital until he has scrubbed your hands 17 times. Don’t worry, he’s very gentle.
