Visiting Times

Each department has their own visiting times. Click on the department’s page to view them.

With the exception of A+E, non-patients are not permitted on hospital grounds between 10pm and 8am without permission from hospital staff. Our grounds are patrolled by enthusiastic guard dogs (the dogs are responsible for 15% of all our A+E admissions).

At St Bede’s we take the hygiene of hands incredibly seriously. You will be greeted by our hand cleaner Paul at reception and you will not be allowed to enter or exit the hospital until he has scrubbed your hands 17 times. Don’t worry, he’s very gentle.

We know you’ve been looking up your symptoms on the internet but that doesn’t make you a doctor. Please respect our staff, their medical diagnoses, and their treatment plans.

Visitors are not permitted to walk around the wards barefoot.
