Maternity
The maternity department cares for people who are pregnant before, during and after the birth of their babies. Nearly 5000 babies are delivered with us every year. We are incredibly proud of our service and the midwives, consultants, nurses and health workers who make up our team. It's our belief that there's no such thing as an ugly baby, despite the evidence to the contrary.
Visiting Patients
Visiting hours are from 2.30pm to 4pm and 6.30pm to 8pm. Children of inpatients are welcome to visit any time between 2.30pm and 8pm, although this should not be treated as childcare by husbands or partners who wish to go off and do other things.

Public Announcements
#1
At St Bede’s we take the hygiene of hands incredibly seriously. You will be greeted by our hand cleaner Paul at reception and you will not be allowed to enter or exit the hospital until he has scrubbed your hands 17 times. Don’t worry, he’s very gentle.
#2
We know you’ve been looking up your symptoms on the internet but that doesn’t make you a doctor. Please respect our staff, their medical diagnoses, and their treatment plans.
#3
Visitors are not permitted to walk around the wards barefoot.
