The general surgery department is vital in providing support for all departments in the hospital, in particular A+E. 

Our highly skilled team of surgeons are on hand to carry out a wide range of surgical procedures, including appendectomies, hernia repairs and extracting pointy objects from places they shouldn't be.

 

Visiting Patients

Visiting hours are 10am-8pm only.

At St Bede’s we take the hygiene of hands incredibly seriously. You will be greeted by our hand cleaner Paul at reception and you will not be allowed to enter or exit the hospital until he has scrubbed your hands 17 times. Don’t worry, he’s very gentle.
